So, you've just gone and bought your new VF SS, or HSV R8 and you're thinking to yourself; 'Jeez, that 270kw/325kw really just doesn't tighten my underwear. I wonder how I can fix that?' Wonder no more, Walkinshaw to the rescue.
Not satisfied with their current W310 and W375 tune/exhaust packages, Walky has released two new supercharged packs for the low low price of $18,990 (dear lord in heaven that hurts).
The breathed-on HSV Clubsport R8 now cranks out 497kW (666hp) and a supercar-rivalling 955Nm, while the SS kicks off with 457kW(612hp)/780Nm, going well above and beyond HSV's supercharged flagship model, the GTS at 430kw(576hp)/730Nm.
The supercharger is an Eaton twin vortices 2300 series blower backed by high-flow fuel injectors, custom intercooler and a cold-air intake set up. The exhaust is tweaked to maximise airflow and the results are stunning. The drive train is also backed by Walkinshaw for the balance of the donor vehicle's new-car warranty.
Punters are guessing at a 4.0-second split from rest to 100km/h but a decent driver on a racetrack may even be able to trim that into high threes.

The metric. DEAR LORD THE METRIC!!!
Excuse my America but aren't the v8s fast Holdens just LS engines? Shouldn't you be able to source tons of engine mods from good old freedomland for way less than $18k for a LS series engine?
Simplify, then add beer

Holy snapping duckshit that is expensive. Kinda get the impression they're only doing this to justify the cost of a brand new HSV.

Oh for sure. With Walkinshaw you're paying a premium for the name, and the fact that Holden will still honour the warranty.
Also, I'll convert it to your archaic horse farts by penny weights measurement system just because 497kw is 666 hp.

Yeah no I'm sorry, the kit looks cool and all, but a 2300 TVS isn't worth 18 grand, even if it does keep the warranty. I'd rather wait for the warranty to be over and throw a magnuson blower on followed by a set of heads and a cam + a dyno tune for the same price, or less, than this kit, and make more power.
